\"Dark Tower\" parting shot is a dud.
I've been following Stephen King's "Dark Tower" series since the begining. Somewhere in the vast stacks of boxed books awaiting unpacking upon the purchase of a new homestead is the entire collection, but just this last week I shelled out 35 of my hard-earned dollars for the latest and final tome of the series.
Like the tale's hero, Roland, King's "The Dark Tower VII: The Dark Tower" is tragically flawed and the "magnum" of his magnum opus is more .22 Short than .357.
Be warned, I'm gong to spoil the Hell out of this. Anyone who hasn't read the book yet and wishes to maintain the illusion that King hasn't failed to deliver on the vast potential of this series should STOP READING RIGHT NOW. If you have read the book, or wish to spare yourself the dissappointment of seeing what could have been a truly grand epic end with a wimper instead of the roar of blazing six guns, then by all means click READ MORE below.
